The park is also known as one of Uganda’s oldest rain-forests with more than 25000 years of age.     Detailed Itinerary for 8 Days Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife safari

    Day 1: Pick- up at Entebbe and transfer  to Lake Mburo National Park-Wildlife viewing

    On this day our safari driver/guide will meet you in Kampala/Entebbe early in the morning after breakfast and drive you to the western part of the country to Lake Mburo National Park having a stopover at the drum makers center called Mpambire and also at the Equator crossing to take photographs. From hear you will continue to the park have lunch at the lodge and set out for a game drive through the park where you will have a glimpse on different animals that inhabit the park like the Zebras that are found almost everywhere in the park, antelopes, buffaloes just to mention but a few.     Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

    After an early breakfast, begin your transfer journey to the Southwestern part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park, passing via Mbarara town which is gifted with beautiful sceneries, with a number of rolling hills with terraces, so your journey will be an interesting one. Upon reaching the park, check into your pre- booked accommodation and just relax there the whole evening as you get ready for the next gorilla trekking memorable day.

    Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking & Community walk- Bwindi Impenetrable

    On this 8 days Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife safari , on day 3 after a cup of tea or coffee, the guide will take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the dos and dont’s during the trek and also with the gorillas, they will also get you allocated to the gorilla group to trek. Bwindi impenetrable national park hosts the highest number of these gentle giants in the world almost a half of the remaining mountain gorillas live in this park. Not only gorillas but the park is also a home to other species like butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, butterflies, frogs, among others.

    Gorilla trekking experience last between 1-8 hours since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from and once they are met you are strictly allowed only one hour with the gorillas learning their behaviours as you take as many photos and videos with them. in the evening, you will go for a  guided Village walk to the Batwa community who were the early inhabitants of the ancient Impenetrable forest before it became a National park and also a UNESCO World heritage site in 1992 learn their social life, how they hunt for food in their ancient ways, how they make fire etc. Retire at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

    Day 5: Game drive & a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

    After breakfast at the lodge go for an early morning game drive through the park for an opportunity to see the early risen species such as the hyenas, wildebeest and many other  different wildlife species like waterbucks, lions, elephants, , giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, plus a variety of  bird species. You will also view different crater lakes in the park. After this 3 hours game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the afternoon 2 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The kazinga channel connects two lakes George and Edward and it’s a beautiful place to see more species of wildlife along the shores, it’s a home to over 560 hippos; also birds and other animals like crocodiles, elephants, antelopes among others will be seen. Return to the lodge and have dinner and overnight.

    Day 6: Experiential Lion and Leopard tracking & transfer to Kibale

    On this Uganda 8 days Gorilla & Wildlife day 6, Enjoy a yummy breakfast and after embark on an amazing Experiential lion and leopard tracking through Kasenyi sector, here you will have a chance to drive off track while tracing the lions and the leopards of the park. You will also learn about their population, behavior, life style and also any other information concerning them and then you will return back to your accommodation for  lunch. After lunch at the lodge embark on your transfer to Kibale forest national park home to over 13 species of primates most commonly known at the park is the Chimpanzees our closet relative.     Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk

    Early Breakfast at the lodge, after your guide will take you to the park head offices to receive short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with chimps and after set out for Chimpanzee tracking through the forest. During the trek, you stand a big chance to spot more species of primates that live in the forest plus various species of birds. Once the chimps are met, you are only allowed 1 hour with the chimpanzees, you may find them doing their daily activities such as feeding, breast feeding, making nest for the following night, playing among etc. on seeing chimpanzee, other primates can be spotted such as the Red Tailed Monkeys, LHoest’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black & White colobus Monkeys among others and also elephants, antelopes, buffaloes can be spotted in the forest. After this breathtaking experience, you will follow the guide back to the lodge for lunch.

    In the evening go for a nature walk through the Bigodi wetland where you will see different species of birds, primate species like the baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Go back to the lodge for dinner and an Overnight stay at the lodge.
