    Detailed itinerary for 15 Days Uganda Adventure & Cultural Safari

    Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

    On this Uganda Adventure & Cultural tour 15 days, upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and picked by our company driver/ guide who will brief you about the all safari and later he will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel /lodge for an overnight most preferably in Kampala. However if your flight is late in the night, an option of Entebbe will be much considered. The tour guide will pick you up the next day for your safari to the pearl of Africa with Mum and Dad Uganda Tours

    Day 2: Transfer to Jinja – Mabira Forest

    On this day after breakfast, you will embark on the transfer to Jinja for the grate experience of what you have never enjoyed before. The drive will take you to the eastern part of Uganda with beautiful views to different tea plantation. Jinja is mainly known as an adventure capital of Uganda with very many attractions. If you are thinking adrenaline rush then this is the perfect place for you. The journey to Jinja is a 2-3 hours’ drive from the capital city Kampala and it will include 2 major stops, the first one will be a visit to the Sezibwa falls with an interesting cultural back ground. It’s a tourism and cultural site with a lot to see and do for nature lovers.

    It is 200 meters at the point where the water drops then it continues its flow and it’s known as one of the best eco-tourism destinations in Uganda. Sezibwa falls is located 32km away from Kampala city along the main road between Kampala and Jinja in the district of Mukono. The site guides are always available to give you all the relevant information about the place. The spectacular falls are believed to have been born by humans many hundred years ago. So the place is one of the spiritual and cultural center where many natives come for blessings, wealth and fortune.

    After about 2 hours in this area, you will move to Mabira forest for a 2 hour hike in this beautiful forest. The mabira forest is a rain forest area covering about 300sqk and its known as one of the last remaining remaining and the biggest in central Uganda and its located in Buikwe district.  You may choose to do bird watching, nature walk or zip lining one of its kind adventurous activity.     Day 3: White water rafting on River Nile

    The Nile is known as the longest river in the world with its source in Jinja off Lake Victoria ending up in the Red Sea. On this day, you will spend the day on the waters of River Nile rafting with the sun osculating your skin. You will first have a short training with your rafting leader before starting this memorable and adventurous activity.     You will have a chance to go rafting at the Nile River one of the most memorable adventurous experience one should not love to miss while at the Nile. You will experience grade 5 rafting with 4 rapids before lunch and another 4 after lunch. A full day will be spent here at the Nile doing rafting.

    Day 4: To Sipi falls via Mbale – Hike Wanale Hill

    Wake up early for a hearty breakfast and then after you will be transferred to Sipi falls via Mbale mostly known for its numerous mountains surrounding the towns.  Your first stop will be the Wanale hill which has great views of Mbale town and stunning waterfalls and caves. You will have to spend some good time hiking this beautiful hill with several stops to catch the gorgeous views. Some part of the trail goes through gardens of the people. From here, you will have to return to Mbale town. After lunch you will have to proceed to Sipi falls area where you will have an overnight stay to explore the amazing destination of the Bamasaba people. Dinner and an overnight at

    Day 5: Hike the Sipi falls

    The Sipi falls are 3 waterfalls in Eastern Uganda coming out of different areas of Mt Elgon. When here, you see gorgeous waterfalls and the falls were named as the most romantic waterfalls in North Eastern Uganda. On this day, you will spend the morning hiking up all the 3 waterfalls. And you are reminded to carry your swimming costume because you can swim at some of the pools below the water falls. to add on the hiking experience of the waterfalls, you can as well spend some good time visiting a home to have a coffee experience with the award winning coffee which is by far the best Arabica coffee you will find anywhere.

    Day 6: Transfer to Pian Upe game reserve

    On this day after breakfast, we make a transfer to Pian Upe game reserve which is located in the Eastern part of Uganda. Pian Upe game reserve is one of the best places in Uganda to see Cheetahs. The main activity in this reserve is game drive with some areas safe for a walking safari. One can as well plan to hike Mt. Kadam, however, this activity would need to be booked prior to the time of hiking. It is located in the Karamoja area so you have opportunities of visiting one of the Karamajong homesteads for an experience with them. Dinner and an overnight stay at;

    Day 7: Game drive – Cultural Tour

    Wake up early for a game drive in Pian Upe game reserve and also discover more of the places secretes. The game drive will mostly be looking out for Cheetahs. Which are easier seen here compared to any other park in Uganda. Otherwise look out for big herds of antelopes and water bucks as well as to Bohor and Mountain Reebuck, Duikers, Dik-dik, Spotted hyenas, jackals, Common Elands. Cape buffalo, Uganda Kobs, Olive baboons, Vervet and Patas Monkeys among many others, etc. the afternoon will be reserved for  a Karamajong family to learn more about their life and engage in their home.

    Day 8: Proceed to Moroto

    After an early breakfast, you will depart from this beautiful game reserve Pian Upe with memorable experience, proceed to Moroto town to continue our cultural experience with the Karamojong people. The drive to Moroto will give you great views of beautiful scenery in this part of Uganda. You will have a chance to stop along the way to admire nature of the beautiful landscape until you arrive at your guesthouse in Moroto.     Day 9:  Cultural experiences in Moroto

    This day will be spent visiting a Karimajong manyatta participate in different activities surrounding the cows and lifestyle of the Karamojong. You will learn about the different rites of passage from childbirth to adulthood. You can alternatively take on a day hike of Mt Moroto returning in the evening depending on your preferences. Mt Moroto  inhabited by the Tepeth tribe who originally inhabited the Karamoja plains. But left for Mountains when the Karimajong raided them.

    Day 10: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

    On this day of the safari, you will proceed to Karamoja region with beautiful views of the landscape. The drive will take you further to the northern part of Uganda. This beautiful region will show you a side of Uganda you will not get enough of. You will carry packed lunch and have a picnic in the plains of Karamoja. Dinner and an overnight stay at;

    Day 11: Game drive in Kidepo

    Wake up early for breakfast and then after embark on a morning game drive for more opportunity to see various species of animals you missed on the first day, this time you will drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals seen  roaming around. Including various species of antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, hyena, and many Ostriches.

    Day 12: Hike Mt Murungole

    The Ik tribe is an indigenous tribe living at Mt Morungole which is borders with Kidepo valley national park. They essentially out of touch with most of the other local populations living in seclusion. Today morning after breakfast, you shall transfer to Mt Morungole and hike up to interact with the Ik tribe.

    Day 13: Drive to Gulu with a stopover at Aruu falls

    Today morning after breakfast, we transfer to Gulu town as a major break for the journey to Kampala. Again we shall have photography stops en-route to Gulu. We shall also detour to Aruu falls found outside Gulu town, therefore, arriving in Gulu later in the evening. Depending on time availability, we have an opportunity of visiting an Acholi homestead.

    Day 14: Transfer to Kampala

    After all the excitements, we start the journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos. After this experience, we will have lunch and then proceed with the journey arriving in Entebbe later in the evening.

    Day 15: Departure

    This amazing safari to the ‘’pearl of Africa’’ we shall have a transfer back to Kampala to meet your departure flight back to meet your departure flight back home and say bye bye to Uganda. Thus the End of Uganda Adventure & Cultural tour 15 days with Mum and Dad Uganda Tours
