Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to Kibale forest National Park a home to over 13 species of primates. The journey is interesting as you get to get breathtaking views of Uganda’s beauty full of natural wonder on this 12 Day Uganda and Rwanda safaris. Reach in the evening and check in to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking at Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of tea before being briefed by well-trained guides. After a short brief, you will go for an adventurous chimpanzee trekking in the Forest of Kibale National Park. While trekking the apes, you may encounter other primates like the colobus monkeys, baboons, and others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
On this day, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park. This park is well known for harboring different wild animals and a game drive through it is a life-changing experience. After check in into your booked accommodation, we embark on a 2 hours boat cruise on the lake for an opportunity to sport different species of wildlife that live and feed on the lake including schools of hippos, basks of crocodiles. The channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa it is also a great place for Birders enjoy most as you will see hundreds and hundreds of birds on the shore, you can easily identify over 40 species while on the boat cruise on kazinga channel. Later go for an evening game drive mainly to search for the big cats and other predators of the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Morning Game drive and Transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park
After a morning coffee, head out for a morning game drive at kasenyi track of the park. Common sightings here are; elephant, warthog, water buck, kob, leopard, lions, hyena, buffalo and so much more. After a short break visit to katwe fishing and salt mining village. In season, you will see plenty of flamingos in this part of the park. Day 5: Morning game drives for tree climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
After your morning coffee, head out for a game drive to look for tree climbing lions and other wildlife that live in the park. Day 6:Gorilla Trekking & batwa cultural trail
After an early breakfast and your packed lunch ready, you will walk slowly to the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers after which we will head out to track the mystical creatures. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.
The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla trekking tour group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. Day 7: Transfer and relax on Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up leisurely for a hearty breakfast while still in the mood of reminiscing about the previous day’s gorilla experiences. After you will be driven to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake and birders spot in Africa.
During your transfer to Bunyonyi, you will be enjoying eye-catching landscapes such as the locally terraced interlocking hills where most locals carry out their farming, you will also enjoy the terraced hills named by the British great diplomat Churchill as the ”Switzerland of Africa”. Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
Today we will depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi National Park and drive towards the border area with Rwanda. From here we continue to the most beautiful national park of Rwanda: Parc National des Volcans. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Day 9: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, you will go for a thrilling experience of golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National park. This is a lifetime experience as you get to meet these hard to find primates. Return the lodge and rest while having a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills.

Day 10: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest
Breakfast and then have an early start to go and trek the Chimpanzees. Depending on the availability you are likely to trek chimpanzees in Cyamudongo Forest, a very small, isolated ‘island’ of forest surrounded by tea estates a little over an hour’s drive from the park office at Gisakura. This group consists of about 40 individuals.
Alternatively, you might be taken to see a second habituated group, the Uwinka group, which is the largest with around 65 individuals. The duration of your trek depends on the location of the chimps – this could take from between 30 minutes to 3 hours to find them depending on how far they have moved in search for food.
After lunch, you will have a 3-hour round trip canopy walk along a 160m-long and 70m-high canopy walkway. Take in the scenery rewarding you with entire forest coverage with some few primate species. Return to the hotel for relaxation dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge

Day 11: Nyungwe Forest National Park – Kigali Rwanda
After breakfast, transfer to the capital city of Rwanda. Kigali boasts a range of hotels, fine restaurants, busy and colorful markets, and lovely local crafts. In the afternoon you are able to experience the delights of the city as we go for a city tour and visit some interesting, historical sites like the Kigali Memorial Centre, dinner and an overnight stay at;

Day 12:Kigali city tour – Departure
After breakfast, explore Kigali city tour takes you to the major historical and cultural sites of Rwanda. You may visit the Kandt house or museum of natural history where Dr. Richard Kandt the first German colonial resident of Rwanda resided and is now the Natural History Museum in honor of his work.
Or visit the Kigali Memorial Centre. This is a grim reminder of the 1994 senseless massacres. The museum is built on a site where over 250,000 people are buried. The exhibits in the museum powerfully tell the story of Rwanda, its history, and the unfolding genocide. Included are touch screens which have on them the testimonials of some of the survivors present during this turbulent time.
