Mahogany Springs is located in Bwindi National park and there are two options one can use to reach the lodge, one can use the road, which can take about 12 hours’ drive from Entebbe/ Kampala, with a scenic drive through-out, and it’s a Two to three hour drive from Queen Elizabeth national park
6-7 hour drive from Lake Mburo national park. By air, one can go to Entebbe/ Kanjasi and fly direct to Kihihi air sprit using Aero link from Entebbe International Airport. When you land at the airstrip in Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, there are many transfer vehicles to the Mahogany spring’s facility. Which is a drive of about 90mis to the lodge.
The lodge is a perfect place to begin gorilla tracking or bird watching adventures, sometimes the gorillas visit the lodge and coming face to face with one of these peaceful creatures is regarded as a memorable experience. Bwinid is described as a birders paradise, everywhere at the lodge, you can still spot a variety of bird, and the fact that Mahogany Springs is set back on an open piece of land by the river ensures we have many rare species visiting us every day. The Superior Suites can be Twin, Double or triple, the suites are spacious with large double doors and beautiful windows. Each with its own private beautifully designed verandah with panoramic views of the nearby area. Mahogany spring also has presidential suite with double or quadruple.
