Gorilla Habituation adventure

Before gorillas are ready for trekking they first undergo habituation process which is than by primatologist following a new group from where its seen until the group is ready for trekking.

To procure a permit for the gorilla habituation it cost US$1500 per day. Gorilla habituation involves following the group while studying the characters of all individuals in a family, naming the gorillas and mastering their special behaviors. Batwa Cultural experience

The Batwa pygmies co-lived with the gorillas in the forests of Bwindi Park and Mgahinga but when the government wanted the forest to conserve the gorillas, evicted the pygmies without compensation which left them homeless and living as squatters in the neighboring communities which made them losing friends and families.
Later in 2001 Dr. Scott and Carol Kellermans found out this challenges and came for the rescue of the Batwa. They bought them land and started a cultural program to earn the Batwa a living. Among the things to experience in these communities is the cultural entertainment through;

Relaxing along the crater lakes
Lakes to consider for adventurous relaxing are Lake Mutanda and Lake Bunyonyi. These are two amazing lakes at the edges of Bwindi Impenetrable National. Additionally, they are worthwhile for a luxury gorilla adventure in Uganda. Visiting Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale can take a boat ride to one of the historical 29 islands. The punishment island is the major to visit. This is another side of adventure to watch several bird species as the name suggest Bunyonyi “Small birds”.
